An excessively old man was lying in his bedroom. You could easily tell this might be his truly final hour.
Surrounding the bed, there they were standing; 5 figures. Dream, Ambition, Belief, Wish and Fear.
Having deciphered he wasn’t being alone, an old man extended gratitude towards the attenders „all of you came here to bid me a final farewell. How nice of you, friends of mine“
Out of the group of 5, Dream spoke out „We did not come here to say goodbye. We came here to die. With you.“
I’m confident that, as you were reading the lines above, you took a U-turn in your memory collection and recalled times when you came up short or when you failed to deliver. Maybe you missed the opportunity right in front you. And you regretted it. Yeah, you regretted it a lot.
The good news is – you’re on the right spot to never regret again.
My name is Ivan Kozina and I am the founder of Imperative. Welcome to my blog.
I call this blog a power blog for a reason. Although it’s being centered around fitness, muscularity and wellbeing, it goes far beyond workouts and nutrition. This blog is all but a place for collecting regrets or figuring out where the actions could have been taken and questioning why they haven’t. Neither it is for those who complain, no. It is about imperative; the psychological phenomenon located somewhere between action and conformity which, in critical situations, reminds us of what we will lose if we don’t take the action. It’s a primordial alarm that everyone has ingrained, but very few of us are using.
Imagine there’s a good looking girl on the street passing by and, goddamn, you’re experiencing that severe sensation towards getting to know her or asking for her name. Two options; approach or miss. It’s now or never, baby. Seconds are passing, the girl is getting away from your horizon, forever and ever. There you are later that same day. Same life. Wondering what could’ve happened.
Then imagine there’s that job opportunity on the market you’re dying to get, but your self-imposed insecurities are overpowering your perceived abilities. Peer pressure and social environment ain’t helping either. „Haven’t applied, gonna do it next time.“ Yeah right. Telling yourself the same story every single time. You never do it. Time expires extremely.
Imagine a whole LIFE not lived on your own terms.
Imagine a WINDOW of OPPORTUNITY being CLOSED once and FOR ALL.
Imagine that old guy being you on that dying bed, man.
Conformity and inaction are, when at their peak, the most painful killers out there, guys. That is why I started this blog in the first place; to battle these. I hope the content you’re seeing on this website inspires you to take action and makes you the person you always knew you could be. I hope you make this world a better place than you’ve found it.
If you’re ready, let’s go. All in all, now or never. Imperative.
Ivan Kozina
